This will include DJ stations and instruments such keyboards, guitars, and bass amps. Nothing would be worse then to have six inputs when you need eight. The next thing it is the equalizer. Some mixers provide adjustment for all the frequencies while others only offer adjustments for the low and high end. If you need granular control over your music, which most recording artists want, then it is imperative to find a mixer that allows you to adjust the entire spectrum of frequencies. Do you want on board effects? If you already own gear with effects then you do not need this feature. However, if you transport your gear to various locations then it would be a good idea to have a mixer that includes effects. Finally, decide if you need new equipment or used equipment. You can save a lot of money when purchasing used equipment but you will not get the benefit of factory warranties. |
